Title: The uveneer system versus layering in direct adhesive restorations
Abstract:
The growing aesthetic demand of patients, particularly in the anterior sectors, requires the practitioner to provide restorative solutions that are conservative, functional and aesthetic. The direct layering technique, although rigorous, is fully in line with the objectives of contemporary restorative dentistry by preserving dental tissues and optimizing the cost/benefit/risk ratio. Advanced composite technologies have enabled the development of materials with improved optical and mechanical properties, allowing the creation of direct composite veneers that are aesthetically comparable to ceramic restorations, while being more financially accessible. However, does it represent a real alternative to layering?
